Little Thank You's

Quick Post from me today I'm trying to spread my posters for my card class on 21st February and spread the word!

Here are some quick cards make from the Thank You stamp from the Easy Events stamp set.

I stamped onto whisper white card. Then using the ink pads in the 2012-2014 colours Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple and an aqua painter I coloured the images in.

Created white card blanks roughly 3"x 3". Cut the Thank You images out and mounted onto their matching colour cardstock before cutting them and mounting onto the blank card with dimensionals!

And that is all for a quick thank you card!

Scrapbook Page and SAB Sneak Peak!

Sale - A - Bration is almost here! Just over a week to go!

So here is a Scrapbook Page I created using some of the SAB items

I used a photo of Faye when she was younger and mounted onto Pool Party cardstock.
Stamped the letters FAYE onto whisper white card with Rich Razzleberry and punched them out, their stuck on with dimensionals. I trimmed the edge of a strip of Pool Party with the scallop border punch, stuck this down and then a strip of SAB Design paper and some matching ribbon!
If you have a party or your own order that is over £300 you will not only get glimmer card but you will get the Button & Ribbon pack I've used here, the paper pack and a stamp set! All bundled together!!

I punched out the blossoms with the blossom punch from Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry cardstock and added the SAB buttons to the middle. Then again with the matching cardstock punched scalloped circles cut into a spiral and curled with a quilling tool and turned them into roses. (If you want a tutorial I will try and get one down for you just ask!)

Simple layout but I like it :)
It's the first day since back to school that I have had a chance to sit and chillout while Fayes at school for her 2 hours! So now I am off to have a cup of tea some toast watch some rubbish morning tv....just because I can!

So here is what I have used -
Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Whisper white cardstock
SAB Design paper, Ribbon and Buttons
Rich Razzleberry ink
Blossom, Circle 1 3/4", Scallop 1 3/8" and scallop border Punches
Noteable Alphabet stamp set

How to make a box!

Ok as promised and as someone has emailed me asking ... here is a quick how to on making simple boxes.

Please excuse the lighting as its a bit dark this evening so I've used my lightbox to light my desk!

You need to start with two square pieces of card that are the same size
Ive cut an A4 piece of Crumb Cake in half and then cut the ends off to make them square, my squares measure roughly 14.8cm by 14.8cm

Score in from the edges 2cm on all 4 sides of ONE of the pieces of card
On the other piece score in from the edges 2.1cm on all 4 sides

The 1mm extra on the second piece of card will be the lid and make it just big enough to fit on top comfortably. Fold the score lines back on them selves its easier to fold them now rather than later.

Now you need to cut little notches so we can construct the box

Do this on all 4 corners of both squares

This is the fun bit! flip the card over (makes it easier to put glue on!)  and then stick all the tabs to the inside of the box 'wall' on the right
I tend to use mini pegs to hold the two pieces together while drying but a paper clip or something similar would do

Leave to dry for a good 10minutes

Take the pegs off and all done! One Box! The more you practise and have a go at a few different sizes the easier it is.

As long as the two pieces of card are identical in size and you make one 1mm bigger than the other you will be fine!

Thats it for me for tonight Im affraid Im off to list some old crafty bits for sale on ebay to raise money for some new stuff :)

Good Night! xx

Blossom Obsession!

Afternoon! It's cold windy and a little wet here .. booo!

My photo today is of a card and matching box.

One of my favourite stamp sets so far is Mixed Bunch, using it with versamark ink to create a watermark background!

The Mixed Bunch stamp set comes with 3 large flower shapes that fit into the Blossom Punch! That is how I've cut out the blossom on the card and the box. The trim on the yellow strip is a border punch called Scallop Trim Border. The sentiment is from the set AWord For You.

I was going to write down all the details on How to create the box but I think it will be easier if I create a step by step with photos so as not to confuse anyone! Therefore I will pop back on later if not then tomorrow with some extra step by step photos so you can create one yourself!

Products used
Crumb cake cardstock
Daffodil Delight cardstock
Rich Razzleberry ink
Mixed Bunch and A Word For You stamp sets
Versamark Ink Pad

Stampin' Up!

Well...yes I have been absent for a month!

BUT it was for a good reason! I decided to join ......

                                                                                                     .... as a demonstrator!!!

I didn't want to post non Stampin' Up projects and I wanted to wait until my facebook page was up and I had a few bits to share with you! So I am now back! I've fallen absolutely head over heels with their products! The stamps are of such high quality, all the colours co-ordinate beautifully. The ink pads are huge and juicy, my favorite colours at the moment is Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight! The cardstock is perfect, the trimmer is awsome what a perfect cut! ..... you get my point I could go on and on all day!

I am available for home workshops and you can also order through me, I will hopefully this week get the annual catalogue link onto my page so you can see it digitally remember to email me on melhugz_05@hotmail.co.uk if you want to get hold of a hardcopy!

So I better start with mentioning Sale-a-Bration!! Starting from 22nd january. This is where for every £45 you spend you get to choose a free gift! There are some really good products to choose from! I can't tell you anymore yet but if you want to book a workshop in the next 2 months drop me an email you and your friends could earn lots of free goodies!!

Onwards and upwards now! In the process of organizing some card and scrapbook classes, I will give all details when I know the dates!

Sooooo let's get a picture up!

This is my first Stampin' Up card! I stamped the butterflies and used the coordinating punch to punch them out! stuck their middles down to a strip of very vanilla card and bent the wings out a little to look 3-D. Used versamark to create a watermark effect with the butterflies stamp all over the back ground and stamped a sentiment to the middle of the very vanilla cardstock!

Products used -
Elegant Butterfly Punch
Crumb Cake cardstock
Very Vanilla cardstock
Papillon Potpourri stamp set
Ink - 2011-2013 in colours - Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Pool party, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral
Versamark pad
